Dinah Lee Hodgson presents her debut book, Up from the Ashes: Recapturing God’s Original Design and Purpose for Your Life, part memoir and part Christian living, maintains best-seller status!

Dinah wrote Up from the Ashes: Recapturing God’s Original Design and Purpose for Your Life as a roadmap to abundant blessing.

Underneath her facade of happiness, Dinah Hodgson struggles emotionally. When her unhappiness becomes too much to bear, she cries out to God, but His response is not what she expects—He asks her to explore the hidden abuse she endured. Even though obedience will be painful, Dinah accepts that it’s the only way to experience healing from past trauma. What follows is a journey of reclaiming her destiny as God brings her “up from the ashes.” In this powerful and inspirational self-help book, Hodgson draws the reader toward experiencing abundant life through emotional and spiritual healing.

“Dinah covers it all! She beautifully writes from her story which most of us can relate to – brokenness and trauma. We often stay in a place of brokenness and as a result, become bitter and live with a sense of rejection because of that pain. Dinah shares how to walk through that pain with the help of the ultimate Counselor the Holy Spirit by taking up our weapons in the Spirit and fighting the lies that have been spoken over us. By working through our hurt, and knowing who we are in Christ, Dinah shows us how to enter into the peace which God has intended for us all.”

5.0 out of 5 stars – A “God-help” book for the hurting

“Dinah has written a true God-help book for those struggling with past hurts and abuse. With so many self-help books available today, it was truly inspiring to read Dinah’s journey of allowing God to pull her up from the ashes. As she shares the hard work of growing in faith, relying on and listening to the Holy Spirit, and being willing to confront and “mine” her past hurts, gives us all hope and Spirit-filled instruction. Her book would benefit anyone who not only has past hurts to deal with, but also anyone who wants to grow in their faith and relationship with God. It a very hope filled, and ultimately, joy filled book.”
