FAITH NEWS SERVICE – “Young adult books have been the fastest-growing category over the last 5 years, with print unit sales jumping by 48.2% since 2018,” according to Dimitrije Curcic of the international research data and analytics group WordsRated. The appeal is wide with over half of the people who buy YA books between the ages of thirty and forty-four years of age.
Adding to current offerings is The Chronicles of Emunah: Hazel Atlas and the Doorway to Ohr by Emily Spencer Kane and published by Redemption Press. Kane, a debut author from East Tennessee, based her fantasy young adult novel featuring contemporary situations on eternal truths and real events.
Hazel Atlas is used to being ordinary, until one ride in her brother’s truck changes everything. Hazel is saved from a crash by a mysterious hooded stranger, but her brother is severely injured. As Emmett struggles with pain and anger, Hazel searches for answers to help him. Her search leads her to a doorway that opens to an unseen realm, layered on top of earth.
