FAITH NEWS SERVICE – Yorba Linda, CA—March 23, 2026. In her deeply personal debut memoir, Stories from a God Box, Claire Tingen opens the lid on a simple shoebox that became a sacred place of surrender, prayer, and unexpected transformation.
What began as an ordinary box tucked away on a closet shelf became something far more meaningful, a “God Box,” a space to release fear, desperation, and unanswered questions. In Stories from a God Box , Tingen shares the true story behind that box and the profound seasons of her life that led her to it.
With vulnerability and courage, she recounts moments of heartbreak, uncertainty, and spiritual wrestling—alongside undeniable encounters with grace. The memoir explores how faith can feel fragile in the darkest chapters, yet still carry the power to bring beauty from what once seemed broken beyond repair.
“This book exists because I felt compelled to share the story of a faithful and kind God who reaches down into our most painful seasons,” says Tingen. “Not to erase the pain—but to redeem it.”
More than a memoir, Stories from a God Box is an invitation. Readers will find themselves reflected in its pages and reminded that doubt and faith can coexist, that healing is often slow and sacred, and that hope sometimes begins with something as small as writing a prayer and placing it inside a box.
The release of the book also introduces The God Box Project, a companion initiative inspired by Tingen’s own experience and is available at her online store, Zioninspirationalproducts.com. Through these thoughtfully designed DIY God Box kits, readers are encouraged to create their own tangible space for surrender, prayer, and reflection.
Claire Tingen’s e-book will be free to download on Amazon on March 24, 2026 for five days. Early readers are already sharing how much the story has touched them—here’s what a couple of reviewers have said:

5 Stars Real, thoughtful and compelling
This is a very real, thoughtfully compelling life journey read that is very unique.
It is about faith, but not overly or overtly religious or preachy. It is about addiction and behavior, but not overly or overtly ‘recovery steps’…Claire shares a life story of challenge and lessons that is raw yet encouraging, that puts faith and hope in a wonderfully real and motivating light. It’s one I will read again over time, as it has that kind of simple yet constant message.
This is about the most truthful, helpful and remarkable book (and voice) I have read in a long time.
