FAITH NEWS SERVICE – Gilbert, AZ — 1 October 2026 — What if the church already had everything it needed to grow a culture of care for the common struggles of their members?
In the SoulCare Groups™ workbook series (Redemption Press, 2026), Gary and Linda Baer invite churches to create spaces where believers can address real struggles with both sin and suffering through a guided study of Scripture, trusted biblical counseling resources, reflective journaling, and prayer in the context of Christian community. Developed through One Measure Ministries, the nine-workbook series equips churches to offer groups-based biblical care and counsel through structured twelve-week studies designed for issue-specific small-group settings. Built around a simple rhythm of read, journal, pray, and share, SoulCare Groups™ help churches address common struggles of their members.
The first three in the series are currently available. The Sexual Integrity SoulCare Group™ Workbook helps participants who struggle with temptation, secrecy, and shame associated with enslaving sexual sin. The Grief SoulCare Group™ Workbook helps participants process all types of grief and loss before the God of all comfort. The Anxiety SoulCare Group™ Workbook helps participants who struggle with fear, worry, and anxiety to connect to God’s grace for today.
“Making biblical care and counsel accessible to every church is at the heart of SoulCare Groups™,” say Gary and Linda Baer. “When believers read scripturally sound resources, journal, pray, and share honestly together, the church becomes a place where help, hope, healing, and transformation can be found.”
SoulCare Groups™ workbook studies are available through Redemption Press, Amazon, and other major retailers.
