There’s an intolerable problem: over 2 billion people without access to the gospel. But there’s also a God-given solution: the Church, empowered by the Spirit, proclaiming the gospel to the nations.
On November 8, believers, churches and mission agencies from across New York City will gather for Missions:Together NYC, a half-day event designed to equip, fuel, and unite the Church for global gospel witness. Hosted at Cornerstone Church (59 Cooper Square, East Village), this gathering will feature compelling speakers, powerful worship and stories of how God is at work from Brooklyn to the ends of the earth.
The event follows a Nov. 1 Expo in Apex, North Carolina.
Through main sessions, breakout conversations, and opportunities to connect, participants will explore what it looks like to bring a missions revival to one of the most globally connected cities on earth, and to grow in spiritual maturity, discover their calling, and take their place in the Great Commission.
The program includes:
- Main sessions that challenge and inspire participants to grow in maturity and obedience to Christ’s mission.
- Breakout sessions designed to help churches develop practical strategies for sending, supporting, and sustaining missionaries.
- Networking for ministries and agencies to connect for meaningful partnerships.
“New York represents the nations at our doorstep,” said Carl Dobrowolski, Missions:Together’s Advancement Lead. “This event is about being part of God’s solution, equipping and sending witnesses from all nations to all nations.”
“We believe God is stirring something here,” added Mark Knetsch, M:T Visionary Lead. “We want to see churches grow deep in discipleship and bold in mission, right here in the city and to the ends of the earth.”
Rooted in Acts 1:8-9, M:T NYC centers on Jesus’ final instructions: to wait for the Holy Spirit’s power and then be His witnesses from our own neighborhoods to the ends of the earth. Few cities embody that global calling more than New York City, already a gathering of nations and a launching point for gospel witness to the world.
