FAITH NEWS SERVICE – With decades of experience behind her in teaching, administrating, and educational consulting, Kari Calcote is releasing an inspirational planning guide for educators. Published by Redemption Press (2022), Prayerful Planning: An Inspirational Planning Resource for Educators is a six-week planning guide and practical resource.
This new release includes strategies and tips grounded in educational research to help teachers monitor and support students, and includes weekly self-care ideas to alleviate stress, devotionals, and inspirational Scriptures.
Calcote, who has a bachelor’s in communications and a master’s in educational diagnostics, says, “Teaching is a demanding profession. The stakes are high, and the support is often low. But, remember, you are here for a reason. God is using you to reach others. Trust in his plan and know you are changing lives.” The Texas-based educator adds, “No matter why you chose this field, you will have a significant impact on kids. You hold the power to mold young minds, inspire greatness, and model kindness.”
About the Author
Kari Calcote is an educator who never wanted to be a teacher. She has worked as a teacher, an elementary school principal, curriculum director, special-ed teacher, behavior specialist, and diagnostician. She currently serves as special-ed director for four small west Texas districts. She and her husband enjoy engaging with their two kids in their activities and sports, and they are active members in their Winters, Texas, Church of Christ.
