5 Stars True forgiveness through the Father
The emotions felt while reading can’t be described. There were times when I felt like I was right there walking beside Marcy feeling her pain, hurt, guilt and shame. To see how the love of a Heavenly Father can help heal pain from an earthly father is powerful. To truly surrender it all to God and let Him do what only He can do reminds me of the sacrifice Jesus gave on the cross and how through Him we find true peace, love, joy, happiness and yes even forgiveness. Everyone should read this!!!

5 Stars – A beautiful story of forgiveness
This piece covers heavy topics, but was easy to comprehend and read. It’s a beautifully written story of a girl growing up in poverty in the Deep South and all the troubles and difficult decisions that come along with that. Within this book are marvelous characters that helped a little girl find hope in a life that seemed a prison. There were definitely sections of the book that I had to pause and urge myself to continue due to the story’s gravity. Reading this story where forgiveness is given to those who have done the unthinkable, allows me to have a new perspective and empathy for those I have a hard time forgiving myself. I definitely shed a few tears reading this masterpiece.

Author Terri Blakeslee has a BA in journalism and communications and an MA in history. Over her forty-year career, she worked as a freelance journalist and a public relations director, before feeling called to become an English teacher. The author of four other books and two volumes of theater scripts that have been performed, she can’t remember a time in her life when she wasn’t writing something. She and her husband, Bob, are residents of Newberry, Florida; they have been married forty years; and they are the parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents to a large and ever-growing family.
