Central Christian College of the Bible Extends Graduate Program Offering to the Northern Kentucky Area

FAITH NEWS SERVICE – MOBERLY, Mo. – Central Christian College of the Bible has announced that it has been approved to open an extension campus in Florence, Kentucky, welcoming the first cohort of graduate students in January of 2021. The program kicked off a strong first cohort of students on the Moberly, Missouri, campus this fall.
While waiting for state approval to open an extension site, Central Christian College of the Bible worked in the Greater Cincinnati Area with the Christian Church Leadership Foundation and the Russell School of Ministry to build relationships, configure a location in Florence, Kentucky, and acquire the library assets of Cincinnati Christian University to support this program.
The MA in Ministry Leadership is designed for those working in the ministry to enhance their skill sets and bring congregations and churches to solid health. The program has three parts: online courses (in partnership with Hope International University), on-site coaching (with experienced ministry leaders), and classroom courses (one-week format with other ministry peers). Classroom courses offered in the program focus on areas such as Dynamics of
Servant-Leadership , Change and Conflict Management , and Dynamics of Healthy Congregations . These courses are taught by veteran and credible ministry leaders such as Dr. Gary Johnson, Dr. David Roadcup, Dr. Jim Estep (CCCB VP of Academics), and Dr. Billy Strother (Dean of CCCB Graduate Studies) and are available to students to take in either location.
Bringing the MA in Ministry Leadership to northern Kentucky allows Central to continue the legacy of ministry education in the Greater Cincinnati Area after the closure of Cincinnati Christian University. “Central’s campus in Florence, Kentucky, not only demonstrates innovation in ministry training, but our commitment to biblical and theological education for all those who desire it,” comments Dr. Estep, who led the development of the MA degree that launched at CCCB in the fall of 2020. Dr. Estep, along with Dr. Strother and other CCCB representatives will be traveling to the northern Kentucky and Cincinnati, Ohio, area in early December to meet with those interested in the program. They will also be making a stop at Mt. Gilead Church in the Indianapolis, Indiana area to meet with interested students as well. The schedule of events can be found on the CCCB graduate studies page (www.cccb.edu/graduate).
Founded in 1957, Central Christian College of the Bible’s mission is to develop servant leaders for the church. CCCB is nationally accredited by the Association of Biblical Higher Education and offers associates, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees through 10 areas of study in Bible and ministry careers and over 25 programs in other marketplace ministry careers through partner schools.
