stand in prayer

New Release Equips Believers to Pray with Power and Purpose – Download E-Book for Free March 31, 2026

FAITH NEWS SERVICE – A practical, Scripture-rooted guide equips readers to move beyond uncertainty and experience effective, intentional prayer.

Gilbert, AZ—Even among faithful believers, uncertainty around prayer remains surprisingly common. In response, author, speaker, and longtime intercessor Liz Holtzman offers a clear and deeply practical path forward in her new book, “Stand in Prayer: Purposeful Prayer with Powerful Outcomes” (Redemption Press). Drawing from more than forty years of leading prayer groups and mentoring others, Holtzman equips readers with biblical tools to strengthen their prayer lives and engage more confidently with God.

While studies show that a majority of Christians pray regularly, many still wrestle with questions about how to pray effectively and whether their prayers matter. “Stand in Prayer” meets readers in that tension, teaching the power and purpose of the individual parts of a prayer model: praise, confession, thanksgiving, and intercession—helping them move from uncertain or routine prayers into intentional, strategic prayers that are powerful and effective. The book speaks directly to parents, ministry leaders, and everyday believers who long to see God work in their families, churches, and communities.

“I first prayed, ‘Lord, teach me how to pray,’ out of a deep awareness of need and my own inadequacy,” Holtzman shares. “What began in those early years has grown into a lifelong calling to help others discover that prayer is not a last resort, but our most powerful weapon and a key foundation of on-going, full, abundant relationship with God.

Liz’s paperback will be available on March 31, 2026; with the e-book free to download on Amazon for 5 days through April 4, 2026. Early readers are already sharing how much the story has touched them—here’s what a couple of reviewers have said:

Carolyn Warren
5 Stars Profound and Practical Study on Prayer
“I love this book. It is life-changing in the best way, drawing me closer to God. Liz Holtzman shares deeply personal stories from her life and how prayer made all the difference. This would be a great small group study, but I am doing it alone and that works, too. I purchased the Kindle version, but now I want the paperback so I can write out my responses in the book and then look back later to see what God did in me through this study-devotional. Stand in Prayer is inspirational, motivational, and will deepen your faith.”

Wendling Fam
5 Stars Perfect if you want to grow in your prayer life
“This Bible study is helping me to think about prayer in new ways. It is growing my intentionality in the way I ask things, but not in a legalistic way, but a thoughtful and strategic way. I love the way the author breaks down prayer examples and walks you through how to do it yourself. If you are wanting to grow your prayer life, this is the right tool for the job.”

a sacred dance through grief

She Lost Her Daughter—What She Found in Grief Is Changing Lives – Download for Free March 31, 2026

FAITH NEWS SERVICE – What If Grief Isn’t Something to Get Over?

Gilbert, AZ— In a culture that often rushes people past their pain, chaplain and author Raewyn Elsegood offers something different: a quiet, honest companion for those learning to live with loss. Her new book, 21 Gifts: A Sacred Dance through Grief and Healing (Redemption Press, 2026), invites readers to discover that grief is not something to overcome, but something to walk through—with God present in every step.

Written in the aftermath of losing her nineteen-year-old daughter, Amy, to a rare illness, Elsegood’s reflections are shaped by both personal heartbreak and years of chaplaincy experience. What emerges is not a formula for healing, but a faithful presence on the page—one that acknowledges the disorientation of loss while gently guiding readers toward hope.

At the heart of the book is a simple but profound truth: grief and joy are not opposites. They often exist side by side. Through twenty-one short readings, Elsegood helps readers see that healing doesn’t come from moving on, but from learning how to carry love, memory, and faith forward together.

Each reflection is uniquely structured through three voices—a daughter’s perspective, a mother’s journey, and a chaplain’s insight—creating a layered and deeply human experience that resonates with both those grieving and those walking alongside them. Rather than offering quick answers, the book makes space for honest questions, quiet surrender, and the slow rebuilding of faith.

This message is especially timely as more people find themselves carrying private grief—loss of loved ones, disrupted dreams, or seasons of deep uncertainty—while feeling unseen or rushed by well-meaning advice. 21 Gifts speaks directly to that space, offering what many readers say they’re missing: permission to grieve deeply while still believing that joy can return.

Endorsed by ministry leaders, counselors, and authors, the book has been described as “a sacred companion for anyone walking through grief” and “a bridge of hope for those learning to dance again after loss.”

Raewyn’s paperback will be available on March 31, 2026; with the e-book free to download on Amazon for 5 days through April 4, 2026. Early readers are already sharing how much the story has touched them—here’s what a couple of reviewers have said:

Kirrily
5 Stars Refreshingly real and hope-filled ‘life and death’ story
“This is both a heart felt tale of a mother’s love and devotion, and an expert’s guide to navigating pain and loss. I appreciated the honest insights from different perspectives, and undeniable hope which shines through.”

Sheila
5 Stars Highly recommended to help understand deep loss

“Raewyn invites her readers to the secret place of grief and how she made it through. Her journey of pain and sorrow reveal her deep commitment to understanding grief. Raewyn reveals how she “danced” through hard times of grief wrestling with the doubt to know God and who He is. I highly recommend this book to help you or a friend “dance” through life crippling loss.”

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Raewyn Elsegood is a Sydney-based chaplain, writer, and speaker who brings warmth, wisdom, and hope to those navigating grief and loss. Drawing from her own experience of losing her 19-year-old daughter, Amy, Raewyn writes with the rare combination of a chaplain’s wisdom and a mother’s broken heart, offering readers not just comfort but companionship. The sense that someone truly understands what it means to keep dancing when your world has stopped spinning. Her compassionate presence, both on the page and in person, helps others find beauty, purpose, and peace in life’s hardest seasons.

150 Psalms: A Collection of God Breathed Poetry

Australian Poet Blends Faith and Devotion in New Collection Inspired by the Psalms

FAITH NEWS SERVICE – A new poetry collection by Australian writer Keshan Singh invites readers into moments of spiritual reflection, devotion, and intimacy with God.

150 Psalms: A Collection of God Breathed Poetry, was written during times of personal prayer and contemplation, the poems explore themes of faith, divine love, and the character of God, offering readers a modern expression of praise inspired by the biblical Psalms.

Singh says the collection emerged from a desire to capture the depth of his relationship with God through poetry. Each piece reflects both the love of Jesus for humanity and the spiritual journey many believers experience in their walk of faith.

“These poems were written in moments of intimacy with God,” Keshan explains. “They reflect the love that Jesus has for people, while also revealing something about who God is.”

Some of the poems draw on experiences familiar to many Christians—times of searching, growth, and surrender—while others aim to present spiritual insights that encourage readers to see God in a new light. Keshan hopes the collection will resonate particularly with those seeking a deeper connection with their faith.

The author’s passion for poetry began during his teenage years, when writing became a creative outlet for expressing his thoughts and emotions. Over time, that passion merged with his growing Christian faith.

A major influence on Keshan’s writing is the poetic tradition found in the biblical Psalms. Known for their raw honesty, praise, lament, and reflection, the Psalms showed Singh how poetry can serve as both prayer and worship.

The Psalms revealed to me how powerful poetry can be as a way of communicating with God,” he says. “They inspired me to write my own modern expressions of praise and devotion.”

Through the collection, Keshan hopes readers will find encouragement, comfort, and moments of spiritual reflection. The poems aim to provide reassurance during difficult times while also inviting readers to explore their relationship with God more deeply.

Readers may also find their own spiritual experiences reflected in the poems. Keshan believes this sense of shared journey can help people feel understood and less alone as they navigate faith, doubt, gratitude, and hope.

Based in Australia, Keshan works in the community services sector and is passionate about helping people grow in their faith. He believes that everyone—regardless of their background—is called to do meaningful things for Jesus.

Outside of writing, Keshan shares Christian messages and teaching online, including preaching the Word of God on TikTok. His goal, he says, is simple: to live boldly for Christ and share the message of God’s love with anyone willing to listen.

“I’m a simple man who loves Jesus,” Keshan says. “My heart is to share His Word and His love with people who have an open heart.”

With this new collection, Keshan hopes his poems will lead readers toward a deeper awareness of God’s presence and the enduring love of Jesus—an invitation to experience faith not only through scripture and prayer, but also through the power of poetry.

150 Psalms, published by Ark House, is now available globally.

New Memoir, Stories from a God Box, by Claire Tingen, Invites Readers into a Raw and Remarkable Journey of Faith, Loss, and Redemption

FAITH NEWS SERVICE – Yorba Linda, CA—March 23, 2026. In her deeply personal debut memoir, Stories from a God Box, Claire Tingen opens the lid on a simple shoebox that became a sacred place of surrender, prayer, and unexpected transformation.

What began as an ordinary box tucked away on a closet shelf became something far more meaningful, a “God Box,” a space to release fear, desperation, and unanswered questions. In Stories from a God Box , Tingen shares the true story behind that box and the profound seasons of her life that led her to it.

With vulnerability and courage, she recounts moments of heartbreak, uncertainty, and spiritual wrestling—alongside undeniable encounters with grace. The memoir explores how faith can feel fragile in the darkest chapters, yet still carry the power to bring beauty from what once seemed broken beyond repair.

“This book exists because I felt compelled to share the story of a faithful and kind God who reaches down into our most painful seasons,” says Tingen. “Not to erase the pain—but to redeem it.”

More than a memoir, Stories from a God Box is an invitation. Readers will find themselves reflected in its pages and reminded that doubt and faith can coexist, that healing is often slow and sacred, and that hope sometimes begins with something as small as writing a prayer and placing it inside a box.

The release of the book also introduces The God Box Project, a companion initiative inspired by Tingen’s own experience and is available at her online store, Zioninspirationalproducts.com. Through these thoughtfully designed DIY God Box kits, readers are encouraged to create their own tangible space for surrender, prayer, and reflection.

Claire Tingen’s e-book will be free to download on Amazon on March 24, 2026 for five days. Early readers are already sharing how much the story has touched them—here’s what a couple of reviewers have said:

5 Stars Real, thoughtful and compelling
This is a very real, thoughtfully compelling life journey read that is very unique.

It is about faith, but not overly or overtly religious or preachy. It is about addiction and behavior, but not overly or overtly ‘recovery steps’…Claire shares a life story of challenge and lessons that is raw yet encouraging, that puts faith and hope in a wonderfully real and motivating light. It’s one I will read again over time, as it has that kind of simple yet constant message.

This is about the most truthful, helpful and remarkable book (and voice) I have read in a long time.

5 Stars A story of Hope…
Oh my gosh, this book!! I can so relate to Claire’s story. Stepping into sobriety and away from the craziness of addiction! A scary, brave journey. She expresses it beautifully!! I pray the right people are led to this book…it’s going to bring hope to many!!!

Dear God, I Have Cancer

New Devotional Helps Readers Face Cancer with Faith, Not Fear
- Download for Free March 24, 2026

FAITH NEWS SERVICE – A cancer diagnosis can shake everything—but one survivor invites readers to walk through it with God, one honest prayer at a time.

Gilbert, AZ— Redemption Press announces the release of Dear God, I Have Cancer: Victory over Anxiety, Fear, and Loss, the first book in a devotional series by Susan Carstens (Pietro), offering spiritual support for those facing cancer. Drawing from her own diagnosis and decades in clinical neurophysiology, Carstens combines personal experience with Scripture-based reflections to help readers navigate the emotional and spiritual weight of cancer with honesty and hope.

As cancer diagnoses continue to affect millions of individuals and families each year, the need for resources that address not just the physical battle but the internal one is growing. Many patients wrestle with anxiety, fear, and questions about God’s presence in suffering. This devotional meets readers in that tension, offering a daily rhythm of Scripture, reflection, and prayer that helps transform overwhelming emotions into a deeper, steadier faith—what Carstens describes as turning the “junk” of fear and loss into something God can use for growth.

Carstens reflects that she never expected to face a diagnosis that would lead her to cry out, “Dear God, I have cancer,” yet through the journey, she has come to experience God’s steady presence—guiding, sustaining, and drawing her closer to Him each day, even in the midst of fear and uncertainty.

Research increasingly supports the role of spiritual care in improving quality of life and reducing anxiety for cancer patients, reinforcing the need for faith-based resources like this one. Dear God, I Have Cancer provides more than encouragement; it offers a practical, daily pathway for processing emotions, anchoring in Scripture, and finding peace in the midst of uncertainty.

Susan Carsten’s paperback will be available on March 24, 2026; with the e-book free to download on Amazon for 5 days through March 28, 2026. Early readers are already sharing how much the story has touched them—here’s what a couple of reviewers have said:

“Great book for someone going through a rough time, not only cancer, but any very challenging time when we have so many unanswered questions and feelings. I love how the author directs the questions toward God and looks to Him and the scriptures to work through the feelings. And teaches to depend on God for our help and our answers. Learning to walk through it together with God.”

Josh Smith
5 Stars Impactful Read

“Susan vulnerably shares her experiences and thoughts through cancer in a way that reminds you, you aren’t alone, and redirects your thoughts to the truth. Each day offers a fresh perspective or story that anyone can relate to. I recommend this read highly for anyone going through the same journey.”

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Born and raised in the Chicago, Illinois, area, Susan now lives in Madison, Wisconsin, with her husband and best friend, Craig Carstens. She also has two grown children. With over 30 years of experience in clinical neurophysiology, a bachelor’s degree, and a published scientific study, she now encourages others through her vulnerability, offering hope through her own journey.

FAITH NEWS SERVICE – FORT WORTH, Texas – March 18, 2026 – More than 3,000 registrations have been recorded for MinistrySafe’s national 8-part child sexual abuse prevention webinar series, signaling a growing commitment among churches and child-serving ministries to strengthen child protection efforts.

the heart of the bible

Christian Counsellor’s New Book ‘The Heart in the Bible’ Gets to Truth of Christianity

FAITH NEWS SERVICE – I wrote The Heart in the Bible because I became increasingly aware that many people know Scripture intellectually but have never encountered God at the level of the heart.

As a Christian counsellor, I kept seeing the same pattern, deep wounds, broken relationships, and spiritual confusion rooted in a misunderstanding of what the Bible means when it speaks about the heart.

This book was born out of a desire to bring clarity, healing, and hope by showing that the heart is central to God’s redemptive story.

My writing journey actually began back in 2013, when I started writing my own testimony. At that time, it was very raw. It was healing for me to pour out the hurts in my heart, but I sensed the Holy Spirit gently

saying, “This is for you right now.” I knew there would be a book one day, but not yet, and not in that form.

Years later, I understood that God wasn’t asking me to write from my wounds, but with Him. The Heart in the Bible emerged not as a personal story alone, but as a Spirit-led exploration of what Scripture reveals about the heart, and how God meets us there.

The HEART in the BIBLE by Joanne Finch

What did I sense God wanted to
accomplish by having me write this book?

In January 2025, at around three o’clock in the morning, I had a very clear dream, or vision, where I sensed God instructing me to write about the heart in the Bible. I was to look up every reference to the heart in Scripture and begin to write.

From that moment, the direction was unmistakable. I used Bible databases, theological resources, and Scripture itself to follow that prompting. What became clear as I wrote was that this book isn’t just about the hearts of biblical characters, it’s about the biggest heart in the Bible: God’s own heart. I believe God wanted to reveal His heart more fully, so people could understand His love, His intentions, and His desire for relationship and healing.

How did writing this book benefit or heal me personally?

This book marked a different season of healing for me. By the time I began writing, I realised that I had been healed enough to return to parts of my testimony that once felt too painful. As I wrote, I could see how my own experiences mirrored the biblical narratives, the wounded heart, the searching heart, the restored heart.

Writing alongside the Holy Spirit allowed me to reflect without reopening old wounds. Instead, it brought deeper healing, clarity, and gratitude for what God had done. It confirmed that healing is not just about moving on, but about allowing God to redeem what once hurt.

What do I believe the reader will receive from this book?

I believe readers will receive a deeper understanding of both their own hearts and God’s heart. They will see that Scripture speaks directly into the human experience, pain, longing, hope, and restoration. My prayer is that readers will feel safe to bring their whole heart to God and discover that He is gentle, faithful, and deeply present in the healing journey.

Ultimately, I believe this book invites people into a living, heart-level encounter with God, one that brings truth, restoration, and hope.

Closing statement

This book reflects God’s timing in my life. What once felt too raw became something redemptive when written with the Holy Spirit. The Heart in the Bible is an invitation to encounter God’s heart and trust Him with your own, just as He promises in Ezekiel 36:26 “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you.”

Amazon’s summary about The Heart in the Bible

What if the key to understanding your own heart is hidden in the hearts of the men and women of Scripture? The Heart in the Bible is a deeply personal and Spiritled journey into the places where God meets us, in our wounds, our longings, our questions, and our desire to be fully known and fully loved. Drawing from decades of Christian counselling, ministry, and her own encounters with Jesus, Joanne Finch invites you into a tender exploration of the human heart as revealed through Scripture.

This book is for anyone who has ever wondered: Why do I feel broken when I love God? Can God heal the parts of me I hide from others? What does it really mean to love God with all my heart? How does God see me when I struggle, doubt, or fall apart? Through biblical reflections, personal testimony, and Holy Spirit revelation, Joanne shares how God met her in childhood trauma, physical scars, emotional pain, and seasons of deep surrender. Her visions, including the Striver, the Survivor, and the Observer, reveal the inner battles many believers face but rarely speak about.

In these pages, you will discover: The truth about God’s heart toward you; How the hearts of biblical men and women mirror your own; Why surrender, not perfection, is the doorway to healing; How God restores the fragmented places within us; What it means to live fully alive, fully known, and fully loved.

Whether you are a lifelong Christian, a seeker, or someone longing for healing, The Heart in the Bible will help you encounter the God who sees you, understands you, and calls you His beloved. If you’re ready to experience God’s love in a deeper, more personal way, this book will meet you right where you are.

god said yes

This New Book Challenges the “Yes, No, Wait” Framework with Biblically Grounded Theology

FAITH NEWS SERVICE – God Said Yes! Redefines Prayer and Divine Response

Pelham, AL – Dr. Gaytan Glover Sr. releases God Said Yes! Why God Never Rejects, Only Redirects, a groundbreaking exploration of prayer that argues God never says “No” to requests made according to His will—only redirects, prepares, disciplines, or facilitates growth.

A Theological Breakthrough for Modern Believers

In an age where many Christians have grown discouraged about prayer, this book restores confidence in God’s goodness. Rooted in 2 Corinthians 1:20, “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen,” Dr. Glover dismantles centuries of religious assumptions about divine rejection and replaces them with a powerful truth: what we interpret as “No” is often God’s loving guidance toward something better.

As endorser Dr. Robert J. Watkin notes, “Divine delay is not divine denial. This work belongs in seminaries, sanctuaries, and every believer’s home.”

Practical Wisdom for Everyday Life

Beyond theological debate, God Said Yes! speaks directly to real circumstances:

  • The believer struggling with unanswered prayers
  • Parents guiding children through disappointment
  • Professionals facing ethical dilemmas
  • Families navigating health crises

Dr. Paul Ruffin adds in his foreword, this book doesn’t just contribute to abstract discussions about faith and prayer, it provides practical insights that can transform your daily life. …. For parents, this perspective can reshape how you guide your children through disappointments. For professionals, it can influence decision-making in ethical dilemmas

Through biblical stories—from David’s temple vision to Paul’s thorn in the flesh—Dr. Glover invites readers to ask not, “Why did God say no?” but “What greater Yes was and is God preparing?”
