This Pastor Declared War on Biblical Ignorance—and Millions Joined Him

FAITH NEWS SERVICE – The movement is spreading. Fast.

August 2025 — Nearly eight million people have watched Benjamin Windle’s How to Read the Bible videos on the YouVersion Bible app. Now, the pastor behind the viral movement is releasing the full book—How to Read & Study the Bible for Yourself—and churches across the nation are taking notice.

What began as a digital Bible study series has turned into a growing nationwide campaign called Bible Revival, designed to help people rediscover Scripture in a way that is simple, powerful, and deeply personal. Windle’s mission is clear: to reverse biblical illiteracy and help people move from passive church attendance to vibrant, self-fed spiritual growth.

The book is the foundation for a 30-day campaign that is already spreading through churches, schools, businesses, and nonprofits across the United States. Built around a simple idea—what if everyone in a community learned how to confidently read the Bible for themselves? The campaign is seeing early signs of revival and long-term impact.

“This isn’t about information. It’s about formation,” says Windle. “People are hungry for truth, for clarity, for hope. The Bible has all of that—but we need to show a new generation how to open it for themselves.”

What’s fueling the Bible Revival?

  • Nearly 8 million views on Windle’s How to Read the Bible teaching series on the YouVersion Bible app
  • A beautifully written and accessible new book designed for the Netflix generation
  • A full 30-day church-wide campaign kit, including sermons, small group guides, and Bible reading plans
  • Reported increases of up to 23% in church attendance and engagement during the campaign
  • Built to work across churches, Christian schools, families, and businesses

Windle’s background as a pastor, researcher, and generational communicator gives the project a unique edge. The book doesn’t assume theological training—it’s built for everyday people, especially younger generations who feel disconnected from faith or unsure how to approach Scripture. It breaks down the Bible in a way that is practical, clear, and transformational.

How to Read & Study the Bible for Yourself isn’t just another Christian resource—it’s becoming the playbook for a new kind of reformation, one that starts not on a stage, but in the pages of a book.

The book is now available on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F6RTW54F

‘Start Paddling and Let God Steer’: The Faith-Fueled Journey of a Baseball Agent

FAITH NEWS SERVICE – That was the simple yet powerful advice David Pasti received from a church elder when seeking guidance about God’s direction for his career.

Combined with heartfelt words from his father just prior to father’s sudden death, this counsel became the catalyst for David to take a leap of faith—leaving the comfort of his legal practice to pursue a bold new path as a baseball agent, all while raising a family.

In 1998, David stepped into one of the most competitive industries in the world—the same high-stakes arena made famous by the film Jerry Maguire. As a trusted advisor to high school and college athletes navigating the intense MLB draft process, he helped shape the futures of aspiring professional players.

His dedication and perseverance paid off: four of his clients went on to play in the Major Leagues.

In Worth the Risk, David shares a compelling memoir of courage, calling, and conviction. With remarkable honesty and humility, he recounts the highs and lows of his journey—not just in sports, but in his deeper pursuit of God’s purpose for his life. Time and again, God showed up in unexpected ways, turning obstacles into opportunities and setbacks into spiritual growth.

Part inspirational memoir, part behind-the-scenes look at the world of baseball, Worth the Risk explores what happens when faith collides with ambition in one of the toughest industries in professional sports.

Whether you’re passionate about sports, striving to balance work and family, or searching for meaning in your own journey, Worth the Risk is an unforgettable read that will encourage you to trust God, step out boldly—and paddle forward.

Finding Hope in Life’s Darkest Valleys: Merrin Cameron’s Debut Novel Shines a Light on Faith, Resilience and New Beginnings

FAITH NEWS SERVICE – Women wear many hats throughout their lives—wife, mother, grandmother, friend, carer, mentor—the list is endless. But amidst all the giving, it’s easy for their emotional tanks to run dry. In her heartfelt debut novel, The Stars at Night, Merrin Cameron offers women a powerful reminder: no matter the challenges they face, they are never truly alone—and they are capable of far more than they often believe.

Although Merrin spent much of her professional life writing briefs, projects, and reports, she always harbored a dream to write fiction—something that would not only bring her joy but also encourage and uplift others. After recently completing studies in Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care, Merrin felt a strong calling to help women navigate life’s complexities through storytelling.

“I first married when I was 19. I was so in love with my farmer and thought we’d grow old together, raising our family on the land,” she shares. “But my fairytale ended when he passed away at just 47, leaving me a widow with four children.” Now remarried for over 13 years, Merrin has travelled extensively across Australia with her husband, John. It was during these travels, writing longhand in their caravan, that Part 1 of The Stars at Night came to life.

Over the years, Merrin has walked through deep valleys of grief and uncertainty—but also climbed mountaintops of joy and renewal. Through it all, she has leaned into her faith: “No matter what happens, if we lean into Jesus, He will comfort us, shower us with love and grace, and guide us forward.”

Set in the rural Western Darling Downs of Southern Queensland, The Stars at Night is a contemporary novel brimming with real-life drama, moments of laughter, and unexpected twists. The story follows Kath Wilmont as she journeys from a broken childhood and shattered confidence to a happy life of hope, only to face despair once again. As Kath navigates fear, new opportunities, and fresh trials, readers are drawn into an emotional journey of healing and self-discovery.

The novel’s vivid depictions of farm life, the Australian bush, and rainforest landscapes add an authentic and immersive feel. At its core, The Stars at Night is a story of God’s faithfulness, the power of prayer, the importance of friendship and family, and the promise of new seasons.

With relatable characters and a down-to-earth storyline, Merrin’s debut resonates deeply with readers. “It’s not just a book for women,” she says. “I’ve had feedback from male readers who also found it enjoyable, inspiring, and meaningful.”

Merrin lives with her husband in the rural town of Dalby, Queensland. Between them, they have six children and eleven, soon to be twelve, grandchildren. She is actively involved in her local church, leads a Ladies Life Group, serves on two boards, and regularly visits those in aged care.

The Stars at Night, published by Ark House, is now available globally.

Overcoming the Narcissist, Sociopath, Psychopath, and Other Domestic Abusers

Award-winning Domestic Violence Professional Releases a Bible-based, Healing, and Redemptive Resource for Small Groups and Support Groups

FAITH NEWS SERVICE – When family law attorney, TEDx Speaker, and Certified Domestic Violence Professional Charlene Quint could not find curriculum for faith-based support groups while working with survivors of domestic abuse, she wrote her own.

Her new release Overcoming the Narcissist, Sociopath, Psychopath, and Other Domestic Abusers—Workbook for Support Groups and Bible Studies (Redemption Press) is designed to accompany her best-selling, ground-breaking, and multi-award-winning book, Overcoming the Narcissist, Sociopath, Psychopath, and Other Domestic Abusers, released in 2020.

The 2020 book, spanning nearly 600 pages, is designed to provide a woman everything she needs to know to identify abuse, get out safely, and heal, and it has become an indispensable resource for counselors, therapists, and domestic violence professionals.

The newly released accompanying workbook is a hands-on, interactive guide designed for women in small group settings or individual study. The curriculum helps women recognize abuse, remove themselves from toxic relationships, and recover emotionally, physically, financially and spiritually.

Quint explains, “Women believe a ton of lies that get us into unhealthy relationships, keep us there, and keep us from healing. When we recognize, reject, and replace the lies with God’s truth, we can recognize, remove, and recover from abuse. These are the 3 R’s of Truth and the 3 R’s of Abuse.”

Quint, who draws on her professional and personal experiences and expertise, says her number one goal is “for women who have been in toxic relationships to be healed and whole, and become the victorious, fearless women God designed them to be.” Quint has been facilitating nation-wide women’s Bible studies and support groups over the past several years using the curriculum and has helped hundreds of women move from victim to victorious.

She says she has seen God work in amazing healing ways.  “Women from around the country constantly tell me that the experience in our group is life-changing. God is on the move transforming lives!”

Quint characterizes domestic abuse as “the most prevalent and yet most silenced and misunderstood pandemic of our time.” One third of women at some point in their lives will experience rape, stalking, or serious physical abuse at the hands of an intimate partner, and nearly half will experience emotional and verbal abuse and coercive control.

Yet churches are largely silent on the subject, and clergy often do not know what to do—or worse, support the abuser rather than the victim.

This workbook is a must-have and long-awaited resource for churches with women’s ministries and faith-based domestic abuse organizations.  The workbook is available in paperback and Kindle versions on Amazon and wherever books are sold.

About the Author

Charlene Quint is a TEDx speaker and family law attorney in the Chicago area who focuses her practice on helping women overcome domestic abuse. She wrote Overcoming the Narcissist, Sociopath, Psychopath, and Other Domestic Abusers to help victims of domestic abuse become the fearless victors that they are created to be. She is the founder of AbuseCare.org, a non-denominational faith-based organization designed to provide hope and healing to women on their journey from victim to victorious and to educate and equip churches in caring for victims of domestic abuse. Quint is co-chair of the Partnership for a Safer Lake County, a network of forty organizations combating all forms of abuse. She is a Certified Domestic Violence Professional, an advocate for victims of abuse, a facilitator of multiple nation-wide support groups, and a domestic abuse survivor herself. Quint serves on the Board of Trustees for Northern Seminary and on the Board of Elders for Gurnee Community Church. She previously served on the Board of Regents for Trinity International University and the Board of Trustees for the Au Sable Institute. She speaks publicly as an inspirational speaker to raise awareness of domestic abuse, and to provide training on how to address abuse in the church and in the workplace. Through her legal representation, books, Bible studies, support groups, training, and public speaking, Quint has helped thousands of women out of abuse and into freedom.

5 Stars So GOOD!
It is SO GOOD! I have fallen in love with her approach to inductive Bible learning and it’s truly a beautiful study! Connecting Proverbs 31 to Ruth and a deeper understanding of the text….I can’t say enough GOOD about this book …

Lisa V
5 Stars Such an excellent and fruitful study for teen girls
My 14 year old daughter and I had a wonderful experience completing this together. This study is excellent. It is well organized, thorough, clear, and a valuable tool that leads us deeper into God’s Word. A study of Ruth is especially relevant for all teenage girls as it encourages us all to be courageous, obedient, loyal and sold out to the Lord no matter where we might find ourselves. Spano’s EVENT Bible study method unpacks the riches of God’s Word so efficiently for the reader … One of our favorite parts was the time spent on understanding the similarities between the Proverbs 31 woman and Ruth. We wholeheartedly recommend this excellent study! What a blessing for today’s teenage girls and for all those who desire to disciple them into a deeper faith.

Bible Scholar Brings Clarity to the Theology of the Millennial Kingdom and the New Jerusalem in a New Release

FAITH NEWS SERVICE – An avid Bible scholar seeks to bring clarity to the confusion he sees surrounding the end-time topic of the new heavens and earth and the new Jerusalem. Paul Feiner is the author of New Jerusalem after the Millennium: Understanding the Theology and Timing of the New Jerusalem in Relation to the Millennial Kingdom (Redemption Press).

He says, “I was inspired to write this book because I have a passion for the truth in God’s Word, and I desire to help others understand that truth.” His goal is to show how God’s plan of salvation is seen through Christ concerning the nation of Israel and the events pertaining to the millennium.

In this in-depth eschatological study, Feiner shows how understanding the correct timing and chronology of events reveals the correct theology. Using Scripture, he details how our ultimate home will be the new creation—the new heavens and earth, a physical creation that is separate from the realm of heaven.

Using a primarily literal interpretation of Scripture concerning a new heavens and new earth, Bible scholar Paul Feiner defines the biblical phrase used in its proper context, explains the relevant typology, and outlines significant core differences between the millennial Jerusalem and the new Jerusalem that descends from heaven subsequent to the millennium.

This unique treatment of the issues, and this particular interpretation, has often been overlooked in popular commentaries and has not been previously covered to this depth. Bible students, biblical researchers, seminary students, and laymen who enjoy God’s Word will find this in-depth discussion of these important but seldomly addressed topics within eschatology to be thorough, stimulating, and clarifying.

About the Author:

Paul Feiner has a BA in Christian ministry from Missouri Baptist University. He is an avid student of the Bible, and his calling is to help people understand the Scriptures by using his gifts through writing and other means. This is his first published work, but he has dedicated many years of his life to the study of biblical issues. He currently lives in Missouri with his wife, Crystal, who is from the Philippines. They met for the first time in Israel after four years of a long-distance relationship.

“What stands out to me the most is how authentic the author is. The strength of her faith jumps off the page and makes this book encouraging to read! This is also a fresh take on a Bible study, with entertaining stories and witty rhetoric that is relatable to me as a mom, a woman and someone who is just fighting the good fight of the craziness of today’s world. I would also recommend this study if you have never done a Bible study before. Although it is masterful of many complex biblical subjects, it is simple to follow and broken down into very digestible bits and would work great as a group study.”

Olivia
5 Stars Encouraging & challenging!
“This Bible study is SO good! As a mama to young kids who’s also a military wife, a lot of what she discusses in this study is very relatable. I also love the fact that she has you flipping back & forth in the Bible as you work your way through the study; doing this keeps you engaged in the study while also engaged in the Word. Highly recommend for encouragement and new perspective!”

Bexley Seabury Seminary Board of Directors Affirms Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

FAITH NEWS SERVICE – Chicago, IL — July 17, 2025 — Bexley Seabury Seminary’s Board of Directors has unanimously adopted a resolution affirming the institution’s enduring commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and to standing in solidarity with minority and marginalized populations.

The resolution, passed at the Board’s most recent meeting, states:

“Bexley Seabury Seminary affirms its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and solidarity with minority and marginalized populations… a necessary and inalienable consequence of our Religious Identity, Baptismal Vows, and Vocation.”

In doing so, the Board made clear that this commitment is rooted in the Seminary’s Christian identity and theological convictions. It further declares that:

  • This commitment is integral to the seminary’s mission and values as a community of theological education and formation;
  • Any federal orders or policies that require abandonment of these values are viewed as violations of the free exercise of religion, protected by the First Amendment;
  • Bexley Seabury Seminary will not comply with such orders or policies if they arise.

“This isn’t about politics—it’s about the Gospel,” said the Rt. Rev. Dr. Douglas Sparks, Episcopal Bishop of Northern Indiana and Chair of Bexley Seabury’s Board of Directors. “Our faith calls us to recognize and affirm the dignity of every human being. This resolution simply reflects that call.”

“This resolution reflects the heart of the Episcopal approach to education,” said the Rev. Jason Fout, Ph.D., Interim President. “We are called to teach history truthfully, foster belonging for all people, and create communities of learning where everyone is valued and supported. Embracing DEI principles isn’t peripheral to our mission—it’s essential to how we live out the Gospel in the Episcopal Church and in theological education.”

Bexley Seabury remains steadfast in forming leaders for the Church and the world who embody justice, compassion, and radical hospitality. This resolution strengthens that commitment at a time when it is more urgently needed than ever.

The Mark of the Nemesis

A Prophetic Adventure That Rivals Narnia and Left Behind — New Novel The Mark of the Nemesis Ignites Conversations on Courage, Faith, and the End Times

FAITH NEWS SERVICE – Gilbert, Arizona – Monday, July 14, 2025

C.S. Fitzpatrick’s, “The Mark of the Nemesis” will be available tomorrow, July 15, 2025 and ebook free to download for five days through July 19, 2025

Imagine a world where talking animals roam, unseen realms invade, and a young boy holds the fragile future of his family, and perhaps his entire world, in his trembling hands. In The Mark of the Nemesis, debut novelist C. S. Fitzpatrick delivers a gripping fantasy adventure that echoes the timeless magic of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and the urgency of the Left Behind series.

Thirteen-year-old Jev’s life on the family farm is already teetering. A looming debt threatens to destroy their home, and his father has vanished on a desperate mission to save them. But Jev’s struggles take a cosmic turn as he uncovers an imminent invasion from the Invisible Realm — an apocalyptic threat that will challenge everything he knows about trust, courage, and destiny.

As ancient prophecies unfold, Jev is thrust into epic battles, guided by mysterious beings like the ever-present T’Shal. He must confront forces far greater than himself and wrestle with the agonizing question: Can one boy’s fragile faith really stand against the rising darkness?

“No matter where you go or what happens to you, I’ll be with you. You get my protection … and my friendship.” — T’Shal to Jev

With unforgettable characters and chilling threats from ruthless debt collectors, The Mark of the Nemesis is both a heart-pounding adventure and a soul-stirring allegory. Readers will find themselves questioning their own readiness for the ultimate battle between good and evil.

Perfect for fans of Christian fantasy, teens, and anyone longing for a story that sparks deeper discussions about faith, courage, and eternal hope, this novel is poised to become a family favorite and a conversation starter in churches and book clubs alike.

Are you ready for an adventure that dares you to ask: Am I rapture-ready?

C.S. Fitzpatrick’s paperback will be available on Tuesday, July 15, 2025; with the e-book free to download on Amazon for 5 days through July 19, 2025.

Here’s what’s being said about “The Mark of the Nemesis ”:

“The Mark of the Nemesis” is hard to put down. I would guesss that young people ages 10 through 17 would be most attracted to this book, but I’m 80 and found it a delightful and rewarding read. The note from the author at the end ties this allegory together and makes an unmistakable spiritual connection to life on the planet Earth today.”  — Les Connell, area director, Gideons International

“I was completely hooked by The Mark of the Nemesis. From the first page, it felt like I was transported to a dreamland. The characters, settings, and backstoires were so vivid and alive – I couldn’t put it down. No one could interrupt me while I was reading. The story stays with you long after you finish. I can’t wait to dive into the next one!” — Rebekah N., age 13
